Sam came to us from Shonancats in Japan. His pattern is richly contrasted and flashy.  He has a lovely expression, nicely balanced head and a square muzzle with good length. He is a large, solid boy with the most laid back personality. Sam is named after the song by T. Rex, and certainly was the “Maine Man”.

Sam was the Best Maine Coon cat in TICA in the world. He was 3rd Best Allbreed Cat, Best Cat in North America and also TICA NW Region’s best cat.
Sam received a second IW the following year as of TICA’s top 25 LH cats and earned a Lifetime Achievement Award.
