When you adopt a CoonAmor Maine Coon kitten, it is a lifetime commitment of loving and caring for your new family member. Kittens go to approved smoke free, indoor only homes. They have been raised as equal family members and I expect the same from potential new homes. There is always a wait list, and I am super particular about where they go. Every CoonAmor kitten will be a cherished friend and companion.
CoonAmor Maine Coon kittens’ parents are TICA award winning cats that represent the best of the breed. All CoonAmor breeding cats have tested clear of HCM via echocardiogram by Board Certified Cardiologist for multiple generations. Hips are clear of FHD. All CoonAmor breeding cats are DNA negative for the one mutation known for HCM (MyBPC3), and all are negative for SMA and PKDef. Through parentage, all kittens produced at CoonAmor are therefore also DNA negative for HCM, SMA and PKDef.
CoonAmor kittens are seldom placed with other Maine Coon breeders. And then, only to other established Maine Coon breeders with comparable breeding philosophies, standards and ethics.

A good cat tree and appropriate scratching posts are essential.
Kittens are spayed/neutered before they leave our home (or will be on a spay/neuter agreement (the owners spay/neuter when the kitten is 6-10 months old) & cannot ever be bred) . Each kitten receives two wellness examinations from our vet, and appropriate kitten vaccinations. Kittens come with a contract and health guarantee. Recommended vaccination protocol is detailed in the kitten contract. I am always available for any questions, support and just keeping in touch about the cats.
