Sam came from Shonancats in Japan. He quickly claimed his throne and made an indelible contribution to CoonAmor. He is a large, solid boy with a lovely expression, gorgeous contrasted classic pattern, beautiful head and the most laid back personality. Sam is named after the song by T. Rex, and certainly is the “Maine Man”.

Sam was the TICA’s Best Maine Coon cat in the world, 3rd Best Allbreed Cat internationally, and TICA NW Region’s Best Cat.
Sam received a second IW earning a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Sam is the proud father of some totally amazing kittens, including LA IW BW SGC CoonAmor We Will Rock You, IW CoonAmor The Groover of Royallions, RW SGC Another One Bites the Dust, and RW SGC CoonAmor Talisman of Windwalker among many others.
